Rechargeable Lightbulbs Are My Favorite Home Update

As a lover of antiques, most of the lamps around my home are vintage, which means I’ve dealt with my fair share of sketchy wiring or fixtures that just don’t work at all. One of my most recent lighting purchases (a jadeite lamp from the ’40s) led me to discover a “bright” and cost-effective alternative that allowed me to place my new lamp wherever I wanted, no outlet or electricity required.

One of the main reviewer complaints that I seem to notice about these lightbulbs is that they don’t last very long. I wouldn’t say that’s necessarily true to my experience. According to the maker, they can last up to 20 hours per charge, depending on the level and temperature you choose. It also doesn’t take very long for the bulbs to reach complete charge — possibly two hours at most. But, if you’re impatient like me, you can purchase multiple like I did, so one bulb is always ready on deck to replace your dead one.
