Generally, we recommend placing hi-bay lights about 15 to 20 feet apart. This can help you estimate how many lights you’ll need for the area. Ultimately, the number of lights you require really depends on how bright you want the space to be.
Based on the installation height, what wattage of light should you choose?
It really depends on the type of space and how bright you want it to be. We recommend using 150W for heights between 12 and 14 feet, 200W for 14 to 18 feet, and 240W for 16 to 20 feet.
How many amps are the high bay lights?
The maximum current is listed on the label of the light fixture. For the 150W model, it’s 1.5A; for the 200W model, it’s 2A; and for the 240W model, it’s 2.4A.
Does this light come with a dimmer switch? What type of dimmer switch is compatible with this light?
No, it doesn’t come with a dimmer switch. However, a 0-10V dimmer switch will work just fine. Just make sure to check the maximum power and current that the switch can handle before you buy one.
Is the support void if you cut the plug off and hardwire it?
